Adriano Schiavo

Artist Description

Born in Brooklyn and raised in New Jersey, Adriano was the winner of VH-1's "Best Unsigned Artist Award". Adriano's music has drawn comparisons to Sting, James Taylor, David Gray and has been featured on the WB Network's hit show Dawson's Creek as well as NBC's Passions and Strong Medicine. Adriano was a finalist in the Starbucks/NEMO Emerging Artist Competition; he also performed at both the NEMO Music Festival (Boston, MA) and the Woodstock Film Festival (Woodstock, NY).

Arts & Leisure Weekend will kick off Jan. 4 at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater with the launch of The Times's new "Emerging Artists" series. This exciting monthly live-performance series will feature established recording artists introducing some of today's freshest new musical talents. Grammy Award® winner James Taylor will serve as the special guest host on Jan. 4.
