Artist Description

New York City native Ari Hest started his career while still an undergraduate student at NYU and spent his early years building his fan base by touring colleges and clubs across the country. In 2004, having released 3 independent records and sold 20,000 cds on his own, Ari signed with Columbia Records and released "Someone To Tell" to great critical and fan acclaim. Ari recently finished recording his latest album with Mitchell Froom (Elvis Costello, Ron Sexsmith, Bonnie Raitt) and is gearing up for the next phase of his musical journey. He is looking forward to performing new material for the Joe's Pub audience. One Way Magazine may have said it best when it wrote, "his soulful baritone voice and soaring falsetto beautifully weave between infectious rhythms and hook-laden music."
