In a move that is a match made in musical heaven, after a courtship of record releases, park concerts and exclusive club dates, ETHEL and JOE get hitched! ETHEL and Joe's Pub announce ETHEL LAB where, for three Sunday evenings ETHEL will produce unique and beautiful music with diverse guest artists, all favorites of Joe's including composers John King and Mary Ellen Childs and performers Jill Sobule, David Krakauer among many others. New York is invited to watch as ETHEL experiments and premieres new work beginning.

ETHEL's first LAB celebrates the music of John King with a CD release party featuring John's new Tzadik CD ALLSTEEL. A long time contributor to ETHEL's ETHtetic, John's music is intense, hard driving and at times breathtakingly beautiful. He writes in a way that is both fully composed and improvised allowing performers the utmost freedom of expression. John's Shuffle from ETHEL's first CD was used in the promos for the SHOWTIME series DEADWOOD. Come celebrate with ETHEL and John at Joe's Pub!
