Singer-songwriter, pianist, and composer Gabriel Kahane is attracting attention from all corners of the musical world, writing and performing songs that defy classification while winning over broad audiences. This Fall, Kahane releases his second EP titled Walking Away from Winter, which includes, along with further genre-bending confections, his fan-favorite Craigslistlieder cycle: art song settings of eight anonymous posts from the classified/personals website craigslist.org. He has also sung opera in Germany (Street Scene), played keyboards for post-Brit-pop band The Rinse, performed Mozart at the annual gala for the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and collaborated extensively with renowned baritone Thomas Quasthoff.
