Mo Beasley is an award-winning performance poet and spoken word artist who masterfully integrates his training as an actor, keen philosophical insights, and passionate creativity for the page as well as for the stage. Affectionately known as a "soul poet," Beasley's seamless blend of poetry and live music has always left his audiences enlightened and entertained. He has had the honor of performing with legends such as Sonia Sanchez and Abiodun Oyewole (The Last Poets), as well as his amazingly talented peers including Toni Blackman, Maritri, Universes, and many others. He has also featured or headlined at Joe's Pub, Nuyorican Poets Café, Aaron Davis Hall, NJ Performing Arts Center, and most recently at the legendary Blue Note and Minton's Playhouse. His debut at Joe's Pub is also the first live recording for his upcoming full length CD, Eye of the Storm.
