When signing to the legendary Rykodisc Leslie Mendelson found a perfect partner for whom to record and release her Label debut which is due out in Spring 2008. Her trademark sound is inspired by the classic songwriting style of the 1960's Brill Building but is distinctly her own and modern. Leslie, who recently teamed up with Grammy Award winning arranger and producer Rob Mounsey, has been performing extensively in and around New York City over the last few years and has emerged as one of the premier singer-songwriters in the area. In 2007 she performed at the seminal Sundance Film Festival, and at SXSW, where she appeared at the Austin Museum of Art along with Brian Eno's 77 Million Painting exhibition.
