The SUNSHINE BROTHERS play a hedonistic blend of organic, freestyle dub/reggae.Featuring Not many words, not many rules...just the Brothers keeping it low and slow with a combination of bass, drums, piano, trumpet, melodica, guitar, percussion and the occasional vocal.
SUNSHINE BROTHERS are a band of brothers who collectively have more than two thousand live shows and sixteen cd/vinyl releases between them. The history of the members runs wide and deep across various uncompromising thrash, pop, rock, hip-hop, funk and soul bands -Circus Murders, Downsyde, Thrombus, Proton,Fdel live, Freedom Principle, Funkola, Valvolux to name a few.
The music is fresh, it has soul and it feels good because it is the product of a band with two simple agendas.
1. Play music.
2. Have a good time.
We have played with interstate and international artists such as The Cat Empire/Fat Freddys Drop/Gomez/Salmonella Dub/Ronni Size/Beautiful Girls/Xavier Rudd/Arrested Development/Bomba/The Waifs/Lily Allen and at festivals including Southern Arts and Soul festival, Adelaide Festival, Cairns Reggae Festival,Festival of Perth ,Spring Fever,Good Vibrations, Wignalls festival & Margaret River Reggae Festival.
