Artist Description

The Goddess Perlman is a former musical theatre drama fag that got lost in the downtown NYC performance art scene and ended up somewhere in between comedy, music and burlesque. She is a cross btwn Bette Midler and Frank Zappa with a touch of Sonny and Cher, Goddess Perlman has graced many stages across the land, with songs like "Minimum Wage J.Lo" and "On Survivor in Afghanistan" and "Oprah For President", spreading her own brand of nuevo schmaltz whereever she goes. Currently she tours and hosts her show "Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad" across the US, selling out shows in NYC, DC, Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Providence, Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Santa Cruz, Pittsburgh, Madison, Detroit, Montreal, Burlington, Provincetown, The Berkshires, The Hamptons and of course, The Catskills. She's also appeared with The Bindlestiff Family Circus, NYC Burlesque Fest, Tease-O-Rama, Ladyfest and Toyota Comedy Festival. She has also been featured on MTV, Lifetime, Oxygen, NY-1 and TLC. In addition, she's taken her show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, won 2nd place at the Kudzu Film Festival in Athens, GA, Best Pop Video at Arlene's Grocery's Picture Show, and then wowed the crowd at the Evolve Festival in Nova Scotia. The Goddess also produced Goddess Fest in the Catskills featuring the fine talents of Murray Hill, Bitch and Animal and the Wau Wau Sisters.
