MAX,
[Drew Citron, Jo Lampert, and Laine Rettmer] is a three-girl band
specializing in lush three-part harmonies and rotating lead vocals.
Their songs and lyrics aim to evoke images of the mountains, traveling
and exploration, and missed love. Generally using simple guitar and
keys to accompany their unique "romantic folk" sound, MAX will be
playing the set at Joe's Pub backed by members of Paper Swan, adding
the sweet stylings of their drums, bass, and upright bass into the
mix.
