El May is Lara Meyerratken. Lara has provided keyboards, drums, guitars, percussion, vocals and atmosphere to many stellar rock and roll acts like Ben Lee, Crooked Fingers, Luscious Jackson, Luna, Britta and Dean, Nada Surf, Sneeze and Lustre 4 and is now busy performing solo and making records of her own.
