Emilio Teubal, Argentinean, born in Spain, has lived for more
than a decade in NYC where he earned a BFA in jazz performance from the
City College of New York graduating Magna Cum Laude. He has also been
awarded with the prestigious Meet The Composer's Van Lier Fellowship
2007.
Emilio's Band, La Balteuband is a multinational
instrumental ensemble based in NYC. His compositions are a blend of
jazz and elements of Argentine music, such as rhythms like chacarera
and zamba along with the lyricism of tango melodies.
Emilio
Teubal & La Balteuband have released two crittically aclaimed
albums: 'La Balteuband' (2006), and the recentely released 'Un monton
de notas' (2009)
