The doppelgänger of Antony Hegarty, of eerie NY chamber poppers Antony and the Johnsons, has been unearthed in Toronto; Taylor Kirk, a/k/a Timber Timbre, shares the marblemouthed poignancy and sly folk-to-blues liquidity, but also subverts his glacial leanings occasionally with odd and wonderful influences.-Village Voice
