Simon Townshend is straight from the lineage of one of British music’s most famous families. Writing, recording and performing since the age of nine, Simon balances his solo career with guitar duties alongside elder brother Pete Townshend in The Who. Simon has also performed with numerous other acts including Pearl Jam, Dave Grohl and Jeff Beck to name a few. For 2012, he’s back with his best and most impactful solo recording to date, Looking Out Looking In, which London's Daily Express rated 5/5, calling it "utterly compelling" and naming Simon "a genuinely original talent."
His live shows have been variously described as "supercharged" (New York Times), "irresistible" (Washington Post) and a "catharsis" (Los Angeles Times). Billboard labeled him "impressive" and Goldmine affirmed, “truly enjoyable listening.” In short, as London’s Gig Guide said, “you would be a fool to miss him.”

Simon Townshend at Joe's Pub - September 11th
As a lifelong Who fan, it has been such a pleasure to see Simon perform his gigs in the UK recently - alone, with his band and with Roger Daltrey. I am a lover of live music and go to several gigs a month. Simon's music is some of the best original music I have heard in a long, long time and every single track on his CD "Looking Out Looking In" is amazing. Treat yourself and go to this gig and you will see what I mean!!
