Imperiously, UTE LEMPER planted her stilettos upon the stage of Joe's Pub last Saturday night, reducing her entire audience to captive lovers!
With a joy, she challenged us musically, intellectually, emotionally, and politically!
A very, beautiful woman, wearing a long, sexy, shimmering, black dress and, yet, almost naked, reminding us all not to be so complacent but to be aware and thoughtful, experiencing life with the heart, the mind and the soul!
How appropriate are her Weimar Era songs in today's world!
Whether doing her repertoire in French, German, English, or Yiddish, she is equally at home with every nuance of each language!
She speaks with her face, body, legs and hands as much as with her voice, heart , mind and soul!
She is one of the GREATEST CABARET ARTISTS of all!
