NYCSmoke is the brainchild of Howie Statland, formerly THIN LIZARD DAWN (RCA). NYCSmoke has released two previous CD's and will be debuting their latest, "Hearts & Stones." This new record was mixed by Don Fleming (Sonic Youth, Pete Yorn) and features sharply crafted songs, naked aggression, soulful rock singing, superb songwriting, guitars and more guitars. Statland has also written and directed his own music film, "Low Flame," and has written music for film with Philip Glass.
