Hungry March Band

Hungry March Band

Show Description

A blazing entity of flesh, brass, steel, blood and wood, Hungry March Band is a socially active community project roaring out of New York City. The HOWL! Festival's favorite parade band, HMB was selected "best anarchist parade group!" by the Village Voice's Best of NYC 2004. Participants in last year's "Sbandata Romana" brass band summit in Rome, HMB infused New Orleans with New York raspberries at Mardi Gras and played at L'Arc-En-Ciel des Faubourgs Festival De Fanfares in Montpellier, France in June. "Ridiculously cool...This feisty bunch gets down with some monster grooves, New Orleans-like funeral & marching music, foot-stomping cartoon-like hilarity, post-klez and other ethnic music mayhem. A complete blast." says Downtown Music Gallery.
