Nashville Songwriters Series: Country Takes NYC, Bob DiPiero, Anthony Smith, Jeffery Steeleand Tim Nichols and Craig Wiseman

In conjunction with the CMA Awards held in NYC at Madison Square Garden on November 15th, the Country Music Association has created a week of events to build excitement and awareness entitled "Country Takes NYC". As part of "Country Takes NYC", CMA will attempt to recreate the Infamous Bluebird Cafe at the equally infamous Joe's Pub, both venues which were recently listed in Newsweek as two of the top small music venues in the country. For three nights at Joe's Pub, the question "What would Nashville be without its heartwrenching songs of love and loss?" is addressed. This Songwriter Series will feature four phenomenal songwriters from Nashville each night that have alternatively broken your heart and put it back together again. Moving out from behind the scenes to get up on the stage with a guitar in hand, these artists will have the chance to tell the stories behind their hit songs and perform them. These illustrious songwriters will no doubt be joined by special guest country artists who are in town and more than willing to sing along with songs that made them famous.

"Country Takes NYC" is a week-long series of events, promotions and CMA Awards celebrations at NYC's restaurants, retailers, and entertainment venues that focuses on a theme for each day.
