While they originally came together to play blues music, the Toronto-Based Pork Belly Futures are coloured by their roots as writers, rockers, and classical musicians. The result is an unusual mix of blues, folk, and pop tunes with jazzy edges and rockin' hooks. Manitoba singer/songwriter has Alana Levandoski has been hailed as "The 'It' Girl of Canadian Roots Music" by CBC Radio. Her debut album "Unsettled Down" was released in Canada in July on Rounder Records "The result," said The Canadian Press "is an album of 10 beautiful and touching songs in a folk-meets-old-world-country manner.
