Local funny girl and art-pop songstress Rachael Sage returns to Joe's Pub for a special holiday edition of her latest musical mishugas, "Sequins & Shpiel!" (which debuted earlier this year at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, to rave reviews).
Sage, who has shvitzed with the New York City Ballet and learned to be varklept at the legendary Actors Studio, will weave songs from her eight-album discography with shpiel about her life as a former ballerina, adventures on the road, and her family's extensive menorah collection. Expect a healthy mix of vaudevillian shtick, playful Yiddishkeit and Sage's signature pianistic flair.
