KCRW Presents Tina Dico with special guest Adriano Schiavo

Tina Dico, the Danish singer whose warm, soulful vocals were featured on two standout tracks from Zero 7's latest album, performs material from her exquisite third release In The Red. Already released in Denmark where it promptly shot to the top of the charts, whizzing past U2 and Coldplay as it did so, In The Red is a terrific record of emotional honesty, finely wrought tunes and stadium-sized choruses. Garnering raves for her dusky voice and elegant songwriting, Tina was voted Best Composer at the Danish Music Critics Awards and picked up a Grammy at the Danish Music Awards, winning the highly coveted Best Songwriter category. Of her last album, Billboard wrote "One track that must be singled out, "Home" (featuring Tina Dico) sounds like a long-lost recording from Joni Mitchell. Color this gorgeous."

Singer-songwriter Adriano Schiavo's self-titled debut CD received rave reviews from CD-Baby, which called his music "perfect", and garageband.com, which describes him as "utterly passionate." The winner of VH-1's "Guitar Center Big Break Unsigned Band Contest," Schiavo's music, which has been compared to Sting, David Gray, and Norah Jones, has been featured on the WB Network's hit show Dawson's Creek and the NBC TV show Passions. The Independent Press called Schiavo's live show "contagious, sensitive and euphoric," giving him a five-star review.
