ON SALE NOW: CALL 212-539-8778 FOR TICKETS"The classic German kabarett of such Weimar specialists as Bleckmann and Isengart meets newfangled downtown performance art by the likes of Mac and Kogan in the latest multihour, late-night smorgasboard from impresario Earl Dax. Drag star Sherry Vine and Galapagos's Desiree Burch share hosting duties; Vaginal Davis is in charge of the turntables, and Julie Atlas Muz choreographs the decadent dancers."
- Time Out New York
A press in collusion with government officials... An economy remade by powerful companies... Failing to unite, the Left loses ground to a reactionary Right hostile to democratic values... The Weimar Republic and the United States today. Yet when the sun sets on this city remade by increasingly conservative and nationalistic forces, a cultural resistance roils through the night in dive bars, cabarets, theaters and dance halls. Weimar-era Berlin and present-day New York.
Earl Dax presents Weimar New York: an eclectic array of performers plucked from the heights of Broadway to the depths of the Bowery. Performances of Weimar-era music by Kurt Weill and others will be mixed with twenty-first century downtown cabaret acts and embody and update the Weimar spirit.
Performers scheduled include Theo Bleckmann, Julie Atlas Muz, Taylor Mac, Adam Dugas, Rachelle Garniez, Julian Fleischer, Helen Stratford, Daniel Isengart, Flotilla DeBarge, Adam Dugas, Joseph Keckler, Theo Kogan, Dusty Limits, Helen Stratford, Taylor Mac, DJ Vaginal Davis and many surprise special guests.
This event is presented in association with Midori.

I was so amused by Rachelle Garniez. She was amazing and inspired me a lot. That was my first time in Joe’s Pub and I really had a good time. Though I am just a visitor here, I hope I still have a chance to hear her one day. ;)

I was completely blown away by Rachelle's storytelling, arrangements and charm the first time I saw her at Joe's Pub, and I'm looking forward to hear what she has in store next Saturday.
