Julian Fleisher and Ana Gasteyer
She's the Queen of Comedy. He's the Sultan of Swing. Together Ana Gasteyer and Julian Fleisher are a veritable Royal Flush of musical merriment. They first appeared together as part of his record-breaking, three-week run at the World Financial Center's Winter Garden Nightclub Series last year. They would have reconnoitered sooner, but she had to fly off to Chicago where, starring as her Greenness, Elfaba, she took the Windy City by storm -- opening the first sit-down production of the Broadway phenomenon "Wicked" to simply rapturous reviews . He had gigs to play all over the country, Kiki & Herb's Carnegie Hall CD to produce and the music to the smash-hit, off-Broadway play "Almost, Maine" to compose. Both have been busy, to be sure. But fortune smiled at last, and now Ana and the King have finally found a night to present they're latter-day Sonny and Cher routine once more. Singing selections from basically every corner of the cannon, these two randy rapscallions promise 70 minutes of music, mayhem and frosty mojitos. Standard, contemporary, original and more: no tune is off limits, no era out-of-bounds and no rehearsal held on time. Join us as music is made and worlds collide in this special one-night-only Concert For the People.
