Air Hostess Pam Ann Reveals the Secrets of the Black Box in Brand New One-Woman Show
Fresh from her sell-out ten-city USA tour, Pam Ann, the a-list air hostess to the stars, makes a much anticipated return to New York City’s Joe's Pub. Glamorous, hilarious and outrageous, Pucci-clad Pam has toured with Cher and crewed private jets for Elton John. She takes passengers on an extraordinary journey from boarding to landing and she does it her way. Fasten your seatbelts, stow your designer hand luggage and prepare to be flown like you've never been flown before. Pam Ann: Secrets of the Black Box begins April 04 at Joe’s Pub (425 Lafayette Street, NYC) and continues every Sunday through May 9th.
“It’s time to reveal all the secrets the airline industry doesn’t want you to know,” said Pam Ann at this morning’s announcement of the show. “You want to know why Southwest is falling apart? Why Jet Blues landing gear never comes down? The measures Mexicana Airlines will take to cover up their swine flu epidemic? I’m ready to tell-all in my new comedy show, Pam Ann: Secrets of the Black Box.”
Pam Ann’s also ready to tackle passenger questions. Pam Ann: Secrets of the Black Box will be the comedian’s first show to include audience interaction. First-class passengers may bring their airline-related topics to Pam Ann as she’ll be serving answers on an embroidered doily napkin. Coach passengers are respectfully asked to remember their status and to please remain silent.
Pam Ann is the alter-ego of Australian comedienne Caroline Reid. Reid’s portrayal of the gutsy and glamorous air hostess is unique and wildly hilarious. Performances emphasize the vagaries of air travel, identifying the individual quirks of some of the biggest international airlines and their stereotypes and mixing it with a generous dose of camp, humor and fabulousness. In the vein of Dame Edna, Kathy Griffin and Chelsea Handler, Caroline Reid has developed a cult-like international following. As Pam Ann, she has toured with Cher, crewed for Elton John, and even Madonna is a huge fan, describing Pam as “cruelly funny”.
Pam Ann has been featured in an advertising campaign for British Airways. In Australia, Pam Ann starred in her own television talk show, “The Pam Ann Show” on the national Foxtel channel. She also hosted Australia’s live broadcast of Mardi Gras 2009, airing in over 2 million households.
In 2010, Caroline Reid is preparing to expand Pam Ann’s notoriety state-side. She recently relocated to NYC and is now represented in the USA by (ICM) International Creative Management and managed by Levity Entertainment Group. She is excited to soon undergo an American couture make-over with famed celebrity photographer (and star of television’s America’s Next Top Model and RuPaul’s Drag Race) Mike Ruiz.
Fasten your seat belt, stow your designer luggage and prepare for the flight of your life as Pam Ann’s hilarious one-woman comedy show, Pam Ann: Secrets of the Black Box, crash lands into New York.

She is truly fantastic. Once you've seen and heard what she has to say your world will never be the same again. I just returned to London from Sydney and at Sydney airport I mentionned to one of the "cabin queens" that he looked just like one of Pam's b*tches and he almost collapsed at the airport in hysterics! She's a TRUE icon and I promise you don't miss her .... she'll change your life ... oh and you'll never fly economy again ( if you dare! ).
