A Special Evening with Shout Out Louds
Show Description
Collective songwriting is vital to Shout Out Louds’ sound. The members of the group rely on and complete each other in the creative process and say they wouldn't want to make music any other way. Listening to their new album, Our Ill Wills, you can sense that it is a cooperative effort. Both their personalities and instruments interlock like a team's group hug before a big game. They did let a few outsiders to join them, though, namely Swedish singers Lykke Li, Markus Krunegård and Dan from Absentee who offer backing vocals to the project. Their producer Björn (of Peter, Björn and John) even called in bandmate John Ericsson, to lend a hand on percussion. From the opening drum roll crescendo to the album’s thunderous close, it is equally evident that the band shares Björn's passion for drums and rhythms to create moods. Shout Out Louds songs have what good pop music rests on: youth, infectious melodies, and of course songs about the universal search for love.
