"New York-based percussion quartet, So Percussion, who Billboard calls "astonishing and entrancing" and the New York Times calls "brilliant," will host the cd release concert for their new album "Five (and-a-half) Gardens" and the launch of their record label, Shhh Productions. The concert will feature So Percussion playing their own pieces from their 2006 release "Amid the Noise" as well as works from Steve Reich and others. In addition, So Percussion and Trollstilt will play works from their new collaborative album "Five (and-a-half) Gardens" and Dan Trueman (of Trollstilt) will play Norwegian folk-inspired music with his group QQQ. The concert will be a blurry mix of innovative contemporary music, traditional Norwegian folk music and everything in between."
