Show Description
Tony-nominated Kenny Mellman (Kiki and Herb) and Bridget Everett (who with Mellman and Michael Patrick King, from Sex In The City, created and starred in the hit show, At Least It’s Pink, which is slated to play off-Broadway in 2008), return to the stage of Joe’s Pub with, Sexercise Live! – a Tribute to the Potty-mouthed and Profound Millie Jackson.
Including such songs as Sexercise (parts 1 and 2!!!), the Phuck-U Symphony, A Child of God (It’s Hard To Believe), and Logs And Things, Sexercise Live! will summon up those smoky nights of the '70s and '80s when a strong fierce woman could own her sexuality and express it... in song!

is the way she balances an incredibly vulgar and punkasfuck stage persona with sweetness and vulnerability. Millie Jackson strikes me as an absolutely natural and inspired choice for her and Kenny to base a show around; Jackson's songbook allows for so much riffing and emotion. I get the feeling that I'm gonna be seeing this twice, at least.
