"One of the most talented new names in contemporary pop." - Los Angeles Times
“Sondre Lerche is Scandinavia’s answer to Bright Eyes…stop/start rhythms infuse the album’s first four songs with nervy bristling energy …” – Magnet
"At barely 20, Sondre Lerche has achieved more than most of us manage in a lifetime. He has released a stunning debut album, played applauded gigs all over Europe and manages to continue to compose songs of a quality that’s usually reserved those many years his senior..." - Tomas Lauvland Pettersen of Music Information Centre Norway online magazine
Sondre Lerche's blend of pop, Brazilian folk, and cool jazz influences earned him a deal with Virgin/EMI before he was 16 years old. He has since released five albums, most recently the soundtrack to the film Dan In Real Life.
Born and raised in Bergen, a small West Coast Norwegian city, Sondre fell under the spell of the records his older brother and two sisters played - Norwegian pop sensations A-Ha, the Beach Boys, Elvis Costello and Prefab Sprout - all which made an indelible mark on Lerche's musical consciousness.
