Los Músicos de José Part of Celebrate Mexico Now Festival

Los Músicos de José is a band of close friends who started to play together during high school and that have been creating a powerful instrumental music called acid funk, which is directed to the feet, gut and both hemispheres of the brain. It is a base of funky groove on which themes and improvisations are constructed. They have played in International Festivals in Mexico such as Puebla, Chihuahua, and Sonora, and in International Jazz Festivals in Mérida, Mexicali, and Mexico City. They have also played at VIVE LATINO music fest in México City 2007. As it has matured, the band has retained the fun-loving impulse of its high school days and obtained greater technical sophistication. Los Músicos de José are currently preparing their second album release, which will be in stores in Mexico in October 2008.
