Norwegian pianist/vocalist Susanna Wallumrod will be performing at Joe’s Pub for her first ever NYC appearance. Best known for her haunting interpretations of classic songs by Joy Division and Leonard Cohen with her former band Susanna & The Magical Orchestra. November sees the release of her second solo record where she returns to form reinterpreting songs by artists such as Thin Lizzy (a duet with Bonnie Prince Billy), Sandy Denny, Black Sabbath, Nico , Lou Reed and Abba. Joining her will be Helge Sten (Deathprod) on electric guitar and guest drummer Jeremy Gara from the Arcade Fire.
