Pop-lovin', indie-tastic music blog MusicSnobbery.com goes unplugged for the latest installment in his series at Joe's Pub. Last time Simone White played New York, she performed with Damon Albarn, Victoria Williams, Candi Staton and a host of African musicians at Lincoln Center as part of Albarn's Honest Jon's Revue. Her latest album for the Honest Jon label, I Am The Man, showcases her expert songwriting and effortless voice. Starting the night off is Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten. Time Out New York says of Sharon, "[She] plays bittersweet neofolk so slow, spare and subtle that you might have to crane your neck to hear it...definitely worth the effort."
