Show Description
Falu is a classically trained Indian vocalist combining Hindi music with an inventive rock sound. She has worked with a wide array of artists including Yo-Yo Ma (in The Silk Road Project), Ustad Sultan Khan and Blues Traveler. Backed by a line-up of talented NYC musicians, not only can she tear up the rock clubs in downtown Manhattan, but she also serves as one of Carnegie Hall's Music Ambassadors to NYC.
In 2007 Falu teamed up with Wyclef Jean to lend her voice to the score of Angelina Jolie's film A Place in Time, while in 2008 her live performances with her band were featured internationally on National Geographic Music TV and nationally on FOX TV where their song "Rabba" became the first Hindi song ever performed on the network. For Falu's most recent collaboration with DJ Logic and Jason Miles on Global Noize, her vocals were singled out by Billboard as "ethereal... transcendent... spiritual."
With special guest & Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bernie Worrell (Parliament Funkadelic / Talking Heads)
