Mandy Moore with special guest Tracy Bonham
“Just when you think you have Mandy Moore's number, it turns out she gave us a fake one… [The CD is a] surprise and a stunner!”
–Harp, on Mandy Moore’s album Wild Hope
Mandy Moore has sold over 8 million albums worldwide. In 2002, she won the MTV Movie Award for “Breakthrough Performance” in A Walk to Remember. The soundtrack for the film, on which Mandy had four songs, went on to sell over four million albums.
Her critically acclaimed performances in movies such as Saved, American Dreamz, and the more recent, Dedication, have made her one of Hollywood’s most desirable actresses. HBO and Mandy joined for an arc appearance on Entourage in 2005.
Mandy also continues a wide range of philanthropic efforts including her commitment to the “Stand Up To Cancer” campaign, acting as a major spokesperson for Cervical Cancer Awareness and her ongoing involvement with Trinity Kid’s Care – a non-profit children’s hospice based in Los Angeles.
With several films going into production for 2009, Moore has a huge year ahead of her. She will tour both domestically and internationally to support her new album Amanda Leigh, an album title based on Mandy’s real name, and will be seen on television throughout the year performing songs from this album.
Amanda Leigh is set to be released on May 26th, 2009.
Tracy Bonham has continued to play great music, making great records for over a decade although most may know her from her hit single Mother Mother (1996, Island Records) that garnered two Grammy nominations and an MTV Video Award nomination. With a new record on deck (release TBA), Bonham plays with Smokey's Roundup as the backing band (TBD). Her new music is raw like the old days with an evolving musical maturity, using her talents as a multi instrumentalist.
