Show Description
“Put him in the company of Rufus Wainwright, Nellie McKay and other young singer- songwriters who have open hearts and something new to say."
–TimeOut New York
Hailed by critics as a vital contributor to the New American Songbook, Concord recording artist Spencer Day’s velvet baritone and timelessly modern songwriting have drawn comparisons to Norah Jones, Rufus Wainwright and Harry Connick Jr. A restless wanderer amid the expansive and diverse landscape of American music, Day seamlessly blends elements of musical theatre, cabaret jazz, blue-eyed soul and pop to create compositions equally at home on Tin Pan Alley, a Brill Building studio, or the Blue Note stage, but suffused with a contemporary aesthetic all his own. Day’s third full-length record, Vagabond, will be released by Concord Records on September 8th. Featuring 13 all new songs, including the single ‘Til You Come To Me’, and collaborations with Yair Evnine, Jon Evans and Scott Amendola, the album will be available for sale during this special pre-release event.
A one-year New York Magazine subscription, a $9.97 value, will be included with your ticket purchase for this show! Feel free to click here for more information.
