Show Description
Lucius' highly anticipated debut album "Songs From the Bromley House" showcases a cast of exemplary musicians fronted by singers and songwriters Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig. This release showwill feature guitarist and producer, Doug Wamble (who will open the show with his own set), Bill Campbell on drums, Rich Hinman on pedal steel, Ryan Vaughn on percussion, Mika Nishimura on piano, and Jeff Hanley on bass, with a slew of other surprise guests.
Front women Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig started writing music together in 2006, and have been making a splash in the New York music scene for the past two years. Their compositions are both organic and ethereal, featuring both homespun, mountainous, seems-like-they've-always-been melodies in songs like "Shenandoah" and "Rocky Mountain," while also tapping into a solemn, forlorn wistfulness in songs like "For Love's Lost" and "8 Birds." The distinction, though, is in the vocals. With alluring, soulful harmonies full of rich and playful hooks, their songbird voices meld together with an expert precision sure to leave you breathless. This is a big coming out party for these talented ladies -- expect to hear for a lot more from them.
