While on ten-month world tour in 2008 with the acclaimed Hercules and Love Affair, Nomi Ruiz, Morgan Wiley, and Andrew Raposo bonded over a mutual love for Sade and a longing to see the increasingly rare performer live. An unabashed tribute band, Diamond Life is the music of Sade reconceived and featuring the incomparable Ms. Nomi Ruiz, whose smooth, dark and dreamy vocals have garnered comparisons to Sade Adu herself. This will be the second performance ever of the yearly tribute which after debuting at Highline Ballroom last Valentine Day is now looking forward to opening hearts at the very romantic Joes Pub which should make for a beautiful evening for Sade, Jessica 6 fans and in general all those who love in NYC.
