Brooklyn-raised indie artist, Maya Azucena, has developed a strong following in NYC due primarily to her live shows with her steady Band. The sound is Soul meets HipHop and Funk, with Rock energy. To date, they headline at respected venues in New York - SOB's, Blue Note, Joe's Pub, etc... Maya Azucena Band recently performed her debut CD release concert at the renown BB King's Club in Times Square, to a substantial crowd. Now, with the debut CD "MAYA WHO?!" under her belt, Maya is gaining fans in new markets. Azucena is in rotation at various radio stations from LA and Atlanta, to London and Denmark.
