"Stratton's songs gain strength from their ambiguity; stylistically, they're too imaginative to be easily pigeonholed. Sufjan Stevens and Nick Drake both work as reference points; like them, Stratton makes songs that are elegantly orchestrated. But Stratton is rapidly coming into his own."

Will Stratton is a 23 year old songwriter and composer living in Bushwick, Brooklyn. His obliquely romantic music is notable for his virtuosic and fluidly aggressive guitar work, and for his lyrics, which range from the abstract to the sentimental. Released with little fanfare, his last two records received accolades from All Music Guide, NPR, PopMatters, Coke Machine Glow, and others. Stratton is currently working on his third and fourth full length records, a spartan work called New Vanguard Blues, and a lush chamber suite called And The Late Romantics.
