Holden / Fredda & Pascal Parisot

Holden / Fredda & Pascal Parisot

Show Description

Holden are a duo based in Paris, France, with a unique sound that mixes all and everything beautiful. Their world is the world and  their sound is sound. Max and minimalism. Harmony and disharmony.  Happy and sad. Comparisons and influences would be useless. There are  too many. You may hear some of early Françoise Hardy when hearing Armelle's voice, and some of the weirdest Sonic Youth when hearing Mocke's guitar ... this won't help, but, it means, at least, they truly are worth seeing...
------------

Pascal and Fredda
are two singers in the “Nouvelle scène Française” movement and yet they ‘ve been around for a while. Pascal is the author of four solo albums for adults and Children...He’s also a specialized arranger in the easy listening. Fredda (whose real life name is Frédérique Dastrevigne) first sang duets with her partner Pascal Parisot then she started to write her own songs. Thus Fredda and Parisot reproduce the typically French division of author-composer and arranger – Neither Lolita-style pop-breather nor dramatic chanteuse, Fredda sings her soft folk songs and she plays the Guitar.

Pascal Parisot
accompanies her on the Yukulélé and electric guitar and provides also with his songs, a sort of dandy sense of humour. These two accomplices had allready performed in New York in last February.
