Award-winning sibling songwriting team the the Breithaupt Brothers bring their Songbook Revue back to Joe's Pub for another all-star evening, featuring a bumper crop of new songs and favorites, a sparkling house band, and a line-up of singers that includes Kelli O'Hara, Lea Delaria, James Naughton, Christian Campbell & America Olivo, Catherine Russell, Kevin Earley, BETTY, Carolyn Leonhart, Shelley McPherson, Greg Naughton, Jamie Leonhart, Tyley Ross, Brian O'Brien, and Maggie Moore. The Breithaupt Brothers were Finalists for the 2010 Fred Ebb Award for Musical Theatre Songwriting and won First Place in the Jazz category of the 2010 USA Songwriting Competition for their song, "The Angels' Share." Don was honored with a 2009 Emmy Award for outstanding theme song for the television show, 6teen (Cartoon Network). The Breithaupt Brothers' songs have been featured on Showtime's The L Word and have been recorded by Brent Carver, Dione Taylor, Adi Braun, Rikki Rumball, Denzal Sinclaire, Joe Coughlin, and Lorraine Lawson. They wrote the songs for Seeing Stars an original boxing musical, which was read in February 2009 as part of the York Theatre's Development Reading Series and enjoyed a sold-out run in October 2009 as one of 12 double blind-juried "Next Link" shows at the New York Musical Theater Festival. They are currently writing their second original musical. In January 2010, the Breithaupt Brothers debut recording, Toronto Sings the Breithaupt Brothers Songbook, was released.
