The NY Theremin Society Presents: GOOD Vibrations - Theremin X 4 FT Dorit Chrysler, Michael Evans, Rob Schwimmer and Allison Sniffin
Show DescriptionInvented 1919 by Russian electro physicist Lev Sergejewitch Termen, the Theremin is the only instrument generating sound without being touched. Notoriously hard to play, it is one of the first electronic instruments that inspired the creation of synthesizers in future generations.
Founded in 2005 by Suzanne Fiol of Issue Project Room and Dorit Chrysler, composer/thereminist, The NYThereminSociety started its concert series and created a platform for Thereminists and Enthusiasts.
It is not every day that a handful of thereminists come together and surprise audiences with the vast variety of sound and interpretations this instrument is capable of..
