In honor of what would have been John Lennon's 72nd birthday, singer songwriter Jeff Slate brings his Birds of Paradox to Joe's Pub. The band includes Gary Van Scyoc and Adam Ippolito of Lennon's Plastic Ono Elephant's Memory Band, along with drummer Alex Alexander (Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nile) and guitarist Jimmy Mack (Gene Cornish, Tommy James).To commemorate this summer's 40th Anniversary of John Lennon's final live concert appearance, at Madison Square Garden (with Gary and Adam), Birds of Paradox will combine music from their new album along with selections from Lennon's Garden show.
Jeff Slate's Birds of Paradox will be released on CD, vinyl and via all major digital services on October 9, 2012.
