A Hollyday Benefit for the Afterglow Festival in Provincetown

Strap on your Yule log, pop a few mistletoe berries and join the 2012 Afterglow Festival artistes for this sinful, tuneful, posh-pagan celebration of the winter Solstice that proves, once and for all, that our messiah was a little light in the loaves and fishes and in no way in hell a Capricorn. Armed with a warm muff and a firm tannenbaum, Stella Starsky + Quinn Cox host this star-studded hollyday benefit with the third in their tantric thruple, musical director Matt Ray. Stand-up authors, astrologers and cabaret comperes Starsky + Cox connect the cosmic dots (read: stars), showing us how above so below, to aha!-hilarious results, while answering the age-old question: Who the f*#k is Parson Brown, anyway?. Haul Out The Holly sparkles with performances by John Cameron Mitchell, Amber Martin, Heather Matarazzo, Taylor Mac, Joseph Keckler, John Kelly, Lady Rizo, Cole Escola, Erin Markey, Dan Fishback and Brett Every. Artists' proceeds go toward the Afterglow Festival (founded by Quinn Cox and John Cameron Mitchell), Provincetown's live performance arts festival that reconnects the century old link between the Greenwich Village and Provincetown theatrical performance scenes, putting Provincetown on the international festival map, and amassing a culture of artistry, each September, in this seaside birth place of modern, alternative American stage work.

Starsky + Cox regularly appear at Joe's Pub at the Public Theater, and have performed at Ars Nova and The Zipper Factory, in New York City, and at Harvard's ART/Oberon in Cambridge. They are hosts of "The Cosmic Connection" on public radio and founders of the Afterglow Festival in Provincetown. They have been featured on "Live" with Kelly Ripa, MTV's "Guy Code" and are recurring guests on "Chelsea Lately" with Chelsea Handler on E!
