Since his first top 40 Billboard hit "Painted Ladies" in 1974, Ian Thomas went on to became a fixture on radio. His skill as a songwriter has been acknowledged by some of the biggest names in rock and pop. A partial list of those who have recorded and had hits with Ian's songs include America (Right Before Your Eyes), Santana (Hold On), Chicago (Chains), Bon Jovi (Stringing A Line), Manfred Mann (The Runner), and many more. He also wrote Strange Brew from the Bob and Doug McKenzie movie of the same name. Turns out Dave Thomas' alias "Doug McKenzie the hoser" is Ian's brother. Ian swears that nepotism played no role in his involvement in the movie. His name was apparently placed in a toque and pulled out by a stranger....... Ian's new album "Little Dreams" hits the street on July 30.
