Rasalus, who released the acclaimed album Prototype (Universal) under the name Rachid, unveils his new project, with a sound that is best described as pop music with equal parts rock, hip-hop and electro. Vocally, he is the heir royal to Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder. His lyrics have been described as "pre-motherhhood Sinead" and as "a black Bob Dylan", and he's performed with the likes of Lauryn Hill, Vernon Reid and The Roots. "Rachid's Prototype is one of the most unpredictable and refreshing urban R&B debuts to appear in 1998. Instead of sticking to conventional urban influences, Rachid strengthens his music with a diverse array of influences that actually gel into a distinctive style. Borrowing from soul, techno, industrial and electronica, Rachid has created a continually intriguing album." - All Music Guide www.rachidbecomesrasalus.comFord model Maiysha may be in demand by major clothing lines and retailers, but when way from the camera, the accomplished vocalist and lyricist has been working on her debut album of "progressive soul". Discovered and produced by newcomer Scott Jacoby, the sound and feel of Maiysha's debut album showcases her emotionally intelligent and stirring lyrics along with Jacoby's edgy soulful R&B sound. Maiysha's songs are featured on Neo Soul United Vols. 1 and 2 and the recently released Soul in the City. The album blends Scott and Maiysha's unique creative talents as writer and producer.

Maiysha's debut album, 'This Much is True,' has already been featured in Newsweek, USA Today and Ebony Magazine.
Newsweek says, "This Brooklyn-bred songstress's soulful sound incorporates hip-hop, jazz and funk that is just as comfortable on the dance floor as at a backyard barbecue," and USA Today describes the album's first track as a "delicate neo-soul confection."
Ebony Magazine declares, "What sets Maiysha apart from the numerous up-and-coming divas is her broad vocal range, which like soul sister Mary J. Blige, successfully transcends hip-hop beats, R&B and funk...'This Much is True' is truly the start of a beautiful singing career for Maiysha."
