"Playwright, producer, performance artist, and anti-folk poster boy Dan Fishback has crafted a solo debut that's smart, silly, and serious by turns. Sweet Chastity explores what it means to be a brainy exile in a brawny, beautiful gay guyville. Dan's eclectic arrangements, quirky delivery, communal recording spirit, and wicked way with words make him more Stephin Merritt than mopey Morrissey. And though he takes aim at the empty-headed pretty boy, lyrics like "I'd be a slut if I was hot / I'd be the kind of boy I hate" show Dan also is willing to tell on himself."-The Advocate
Performance artist Dan Fishback has been making plays and records in NYC since 2003. With his twee, anti-folk band Cheese On Bread, he has toured Europe and North America, and released albums in the United States and Japan. His third full-length solo album, "Mammal," will drop in late 2010.

"This guy is as well rounded as artists get. His sound is a unique blend of unfiltered pop, 1940s jazz and harmonic brilliance that can only be defined as 'smart pop.' It is clear that playing the piano is second nature to Max -- like blinking or breathing -- which is something you rarely see from musicians anymore. Then again, he isn't part of the mass commercialism machine we have all grown to rely on."
-New York Post
21-year-old piano prodigy Max Vernon is a bitchy twist on the singer-songwriter tradition: a sarcastic Joni Mitchell, an aloof Regina Spektor, a deadpan Laura Nyro. After gaining national notoriety with a series of YouTube performances (over 125,000 views), his work has been praised in New York Magazine, the New York Post, W, Toronto Star, Paste, and 30+ music blogs. He released his most recent EP, "Manic Impression," at the 2009 CMJ Festival.
