Gina’s Picture Show w/ special guest Keenan O’Meara
After the success of her first EP "Don't Be Mad" which won the Vox Pop Award in the Folk/Singer Songwriter category in The 10th Annual Independent Music Awards (June 2011), and also won the “Searchlight: In Search of a Song Competition” in April 2011, Gina is happy to announce the release of her first LP, August 2012 titled “Gina’s Picture Show.”
With Gina Cimmelli at the helm, the band is a mash-up of well sought after musicians, all groomed from Boston’s notorious Berklee College of Music. Gina and her band, featuring Jeni Magagna (Upright bass), Matt Weber (Percussion), Stoddy Blackall (Keys), & Shay Spence (Guitars) perform throughout the New England and New York area.
“[Gina Cimmelli] will take you on a lively roller coaster ride full of upbeat tunes mixing in some crazy love songs.”
"Wonderful voice, engaging musical style... take it from me, you won't be disappointed, this lady is an excellent singer/songwriter, and she has a very distinctive musical presence"

"Her new song, 'Forget,' is a doozy. Featuring a twisting rhythm with a handclap and harmony ending, 'Forget' is a whirlwind of precious pop."

Keenan O'Meara writes from a number of voices. While the pattern changes, the songs always strive to be evocative and sincere. Currently paired up with gifted singer and cellist, Marie Kim, Guitarist Owen Ross, Bassist Bryan Percivall and drummer Chris Holdridge, Keenan is using voice, banjo, and guitar to construct a sound and texture with power in resonance and charm in imperfection.
