& MORE TBA SOON!

OUR HIT PARADE is a live top-ten countdown show created by Tony nominee and Obie winner Kenny Mellman (Kiki & Herb), carnal chanteuse Bridget Everett (Bridget Everett & the Tender Moments), pop song opera impresario Neal Medlyn (known for his pop star based performance pieces), producer and MTV cameraman Brendan Kennedy, and writers Ada Calhoun and Peter Schjeldahl. The show is inspired by the musical sketch series Your Hit Parade that ran on radio and then television from 1935 to 1959. On that show, cast members performed the week's most popular songs as comically literal skits. In this show, the hosts and special guest stars from the local performance scene present their renditions of current popular hits live on stage!

Our Hit Parade had its world premiere at the 2008 TBA Festival in Portland, Oregon, a brief sojourn at the Zipper Factory in New York and then moved to our home at Joe’s Pub beginning in January 2009, with brief visits to the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in Australia, and a summer at the Highline Ballroom.

The show has been wildly successful, with over 50 packed shows over 4 years, more than 130 separate guests (famous guests like Alan Cumming, Magnetic Fields, Adam Horovitz, Kathleen Hanna, Mary Testa, Moby, and many more) and frequent appearances on Top Live Shows lists. Our Hit Parade has also had the honor of frequently presenting the work of new friends and wonderful performers like Molly Pope, Jenn Harris, Erin Markey, and Cole Escola.
