Show DescriptionBrooklyn-based, alternative pop artist Ryan Amador plays a special show at Joe’s Pub to celebrate the release of his debut self-titled album just in time for NY Pride Week.
Following June performances for The Trevor Project at St. John The Divine and Pittsburgh Pride, opening for Adam Lambert, Ryan is no stranger to the LGBT scene. His most recent video “Define Me” garnered over 100,000 views in its first three weeks online and is featured in multiple online forums including the Huffington Post, NewNowNext, and TheBacklot, receiving attention for its bold humanitarian message. The money made from the song’s sales will be donated to The Trevor Project on the evening of the performance.
The album, “Ryan Amador,” is a personal account of the struggle to understand commitment in the face of love, time, and relationships. In addition to “Define Me,” the album features ten brand-new tracks written over the last three years and produced by frequent collaborator, David Baloche. Ryan’s sound references his late 90's Pop/Rock & R&B influences with a theatrical vocal presence and accessible melodies. Ryan recently performed at Rockwood Music Hall and DROM in New York and was featured in the 2013 ASCAP EXPO Artist's Showcase in Los Angeles.
