SXIP SHIREY: SXIP'S HOUR OF CHARM (6/10 at 9:30pm)
This is a combination of three of my favorite performers at Joe's Pub. I've known Sxip since our days in Austin together back in the last century workin' on John Walch's "Craving Gravy." I met Rachelle through the pub and was a fan from the first note. And if the tale needs to be told, Greg Walloch is the one I want telling the story of my life.

KAILASH KHER'S KAILASA with special guest KARSH KALE (6/14 at midnight)
Electronic trance sounds from the subcontinent of India is the kind of music that Brian Eno would listen to to relax.  The soft tabla and percussion sounds mix with urban drum and bass create an atmosphere of sonic transcendence.

NORDIC JAZZ NOW (6/15 at 9:30pm)
Let's set the record straight -- yes, they are pop music pioneers -- but that not the only genre Sweden, Norway. Finland are brilliant and producing.  Each of the three acts, Wildbirds & Peacedrums, Ola Kvernberg Trio, and Timo Lassy Band brings an equally different and amazing perspective of jazz and music making that really change your opinions of the direction that modern jazz is going.  Its gonna be one of those unforgettable Joe's Pub evenings...
