support joe's pub

Joe's Pub is The Public Theater’s non-profit music venue.  The mission is to support artists and provide greater access to the arts through free or low-cost tickets.  We have our donors to thank for ensuring that only 25% of the organization’s annual budget is supported through ticket sales.

Renovation of Joe’s Pub

On October 4th, 2011, Joe’s Pub reopened after being redesigned with Joe’s Pub LLC to feature improved sightlines and seating, new restrooms, a coat check, and a new entry so you can wait indoors before shows.  There are still more exciting changes to come including a brand new and expanded kitchen, a new menu by an award-winning chef, artist dressing rooms, a centralized box office, improved climate control systems, and a café and bar service in the lobby.

Support the renovation and include your name on the donor wall!

The Public Theater, home of Joe’s Pub, is completing a $40 million renovation to upgrade the historic building to better serve you.  This renovation builds upon The Public’s tradition of greater access and aims to create a welcoming, vibrant, cultural home that is as accessible as our dynamic programming.  To learn more about the full project scope please visit Going Public.
